As a Doctor of Clinical Psychology, I have completed seven years of full-time University including a year of Advanced Psychotherapy Training. This was then followed by two years of supervised practice. Prior to this, I worked as a National Childbirth Instructor in the UK in the late 1980s, trained as a Counsellor in WA and worked as a Relationships Counsellor. I have three adult children.

My therapeutic approach depends on the unique presentation and needs of the client including personality and life experience. The initial session involves getting to know you and assessing the best way to work with and help you. I will then be able to give you an idea of how many sessions you are likely to need. If you would like more information on my approach and different types of therapy I will happily supply this if you contact me.
It is also important that you feel comfortable talking to me. Some people feel a bit anxious about starting counselling or therapy, but I would like to assure you that I will be interested in what has brought you to me and eager to find a way to help you. Sessions are strictly confidential and as an there are a strict Code of Ethics that govern practice.
